When to seek help
In general, couples should seek the assistance of a fertility specialist if they have not conceived after 12 months of trying (if under the age of 35), and after 6 months of trying (if over the age of 35). However, it is never too early to seek fertility advice, especially if there is a concern about your menstrual cycles, or a history of gynaecological or medical conditions that may impact on your fertility.
